2026 Meeting
On 14-17 July, the ISS met at Maynooth University, in the Republic of Ireland, as part of the wider 2026 Celtic Conference in Classics. A wonderful time was had by all, as we heard and discussed more than 20 research papers on all aspects of ‘The Spartan Politeia’. Friendly academic dialogue was greatly assisted by the World Cup matches being shown in every pub in Maynooth at the time. The ISS expresses its thanks to the organisers of the meeting, Marcello Lupi, Massimo Nafissi, and Annalisa Paradiso, who will also be editing a volume on the theme of the meeting.
